Frequently asked questions

Which video formats are accepted?

MP4, MOV (QuickTime), MKV, WebM, AVI, 3GP, and MPEG, among others. We extract the audio automatically before transcribing — no conversion needed.

Do the subtitles come already synced?

Yes. We generate .srt and .vtt subtitles with the correct timing for each line, ready to upload to YouTube or import into your video editor.

Can I transcribe a YouTube video?

You need the video file. Download the MP4 of your own video (or export it from your editor) and upload it here. We don't download third-party videos for you, for copyright reasons.

Is there a duration limit?

On the free plan, 2 transcriptions per account, up to 10 minutes each. If the video is longer, we transcribe the first 10 minutes and you decide whether you want the rest. With Rollin Ferramentas Pro, up to 2 hours per file with no limit on quantity. Files up to 1 GB.

Is the video stored or shared?

It is not stored. We extract only the audio, which is sent encrypted and transcribed by AI through an infrastructure provider contracted by Rollin Host only to produce the text. The file is deleted right after processing. We never sell or share the content with anyone else.

Does it work in Portuguese and Spanish?

Yes. Leave it on "Detect automatically" or pick the language. We support Portuguese, Spanish, and English, among others.

Can I edit the transcript before downloading?

The flowing text is editable right on screen before copying or downloading. The .srt/.vtt subtitles are generated from the server's original transcription.

Need volume or a private API?

This tool is free for occasional use. To transcribe at scale, with your own API and no duration limit, we offer a dedicated Whisper Server — audio processed on your infrastructure, nothing sent outside.
