Frequently asked questions

Do I have to pay to use it?

No. Rollin Link is free to create unlimited links. At some point we may add a paid plan with advanced features (custom domain, long analytics retention), but the free tier will always exist.

Why do you require email login?

So you can manage your links later (edit, see analytics, disable). Without login, anyone could edit anyone else's link. Login is via 6-digit email code — no password to leak.

Do links expire?

No, by default they are permanent. You can optionally configure an expiration date on creation (e.g., promo link that 404s after 7 days).

Do you see where my links point to?

Technically yes — we store the destination URL to be able to redirect. But we don't inspect content or sell data. Links with illegal content are blocked when reported to abuse@rollinhost.com.br.

How does analytics work?

Each click on /r/<yourslug> records: timestamp, approximate country (via Vercel/CF header), device type, browser, OS, referer. No third-party cookies. IP stored as SHA-256 hash for deduplicated counting without violating LGPD.

Can I use my own domain (e.g., link.mycompany.com)?

For now all links live at rollinhost.com.br/r/<slug>. Custom domain is on the roadmap — let me know if you need it and I prioritize.

Is there a click limit?

No. Use freely. If a link starts receiving absurd traffic (>100k clicks/day), we will reach out to understand the case.

How to report a malicious link?

Email abuse@rollinhost.com.br with the shortened link. We evaluate manually and block within 24h if confirmed.
