How do I download the WhatsApp audio to transcribe it?

On WhatsApp Web or Desktop, click the three dots on the voice message and then "Download". On your phone, open the chat, long-press the audio, and use the export/share option to save the file. Then just upload it here.

Does it work with WhatsApp's OGG format?

Yes. WhatsApp uses OGG/Opus and our tool accepts that format directly, plus MP3, M4A, WAV, AAC, and others. No conversion needed.

Is it really free? Do I need an account?

Free and no sign-up for occasional use, with a 30-minute limit per audio. For high volume or your own API, we offer a dedicated Whisper Server.

Is my audio sent to OpenAI or any third party?

No. The audio is processed on our own server, on Rollin Host infrastructure, and deleted right after transcription. We don't use the OpenAI API or send your audio to third-party services.

How accurate is the transcription?

We use the Whisper model, which is highly accurate. Well-recorded audio comes out nearly perfect; background noise and several people talking at once can reduce accuracy. You can edit the text before copying.

Does it transcribe Portuguese and Spanish audio too?

Yes. Leave it on "Detect automatically" or pick the audio language. We support Portuguese, Spanish, and English, among others.

Is there a duration or size limit?

On the free version, up to 30 minutes of audio and 500 MB per file (plenty — a 30-min audio is usually just a few MB). For volume or batch processing, ask us about the Whisper Server.

Does it work on mobile?

Yes. The interface is responsive. You can upload the audio straight from your gallery, file manager, or wherever it's saved.

Need volume or a private API?

This tool is free for occasional use. To transcribe at scale, with your own API and no duration limit, we offer a dedicated Whisper Server — audio processed on your infrastructure, nothing sent outside.
