How to transcribe several audio files at once

Is transcribing several audio files at once free?

No. Batch transcription is a Rollin Ferramentas Pro feature (US$ 2.98 a month or US$ 19.78 a year). On the free plan you transcribe one audio at a time, with 2 transcriptions per account of up to 10 minutes each, enough to test the quality before subscribing. Subscribed with the same email? Pro is recognized instantly, here and across the other tools.

How many files can I upload at a time?

Up to 30 files per batch, each up to 2 hours of audio and 500 MB. Finished a batch? Upload the next: Pro has no limit on the number of transcriptions. For very large, recurring volumes, see the Whisper Server, with its own API.

What does the output look like?

One transcript per file, in separate blocks with the audio name and duration. Each block has editable text, a copy button and a .txt download (plus .srt/.vtt for video). There is also "Copy all" and "Download all", which join the blocks into a single .txt with a header per file, in list order.

Are the files transcribed at the same time?

One after another, with the progress of each on screen. Short WhatsApp voice notes take seconds; a 1-hour recording takes a few minutes. Keep the tab open until the end: if a file fails, the others continue and you retry only the one that failed.

Which formats are accepted?

MP3, M4A, WAV, OGG/Opus (the WhatsApp format), AAC, AMR and 3GP; and MP4, MOV, MKV and WEBM videos, from which we extract the audio. You can mix formats in the same batch.

How do I export WhatsApp audios all at once?

On your phone, open the chat, tap the contact name and then "Export chat" including media: WhatsApp creates a .zip with all the audios (.opus). Unzip it on your computer and drag the files here. Can it identify who is speaking?

The text comes out as flowing prose, without separating speakers. In a batch, the organization is per file: if each audio is from one person (as on WhatsApp), the file name already tells you who spoke. For long interviews with several voices, the .srt gives the time of each line so you can mark it; see transcribe interview.

Are the files stored?

No. Each audio is sent encrypted, transcribed by an infrastructure provider contracted by Rollin Host only to produce the text, and deleted right after. On Pro, the text stays 30 days in your panel history, so you can download it again when you need it.
