Yes. Meta requires Business Verification, which needs a business document, proof of company address and an active website (with SSL and consistent information). Without a business registration, you would only be able to use the standard WhatsApp Business version (with no protection against bans).
You can, but we do not recommend it on the same number. The ideal approach is to separate: Official API for large-scale automation (campaigns, transactional, mass service) and standard WhatsApp Business for manual team support. This limits ban risk to the manual number only.
