Which audio formats are supported?

M4A, AAC, OGG, OGA, OPUS, WAV, FLAC, WMA, AIFF and MP3. Video files work too: in that case the result is the audio only.

Does it convert WhatsApp audio?

Yes. Save the voice message (on WhatsApp Web use "Download"; on the phone use share) and upload it here. The file comes as OPUS or OGG and leaves as MP3.

Does the quality change?

Converting from a compressed format (M4A, OGG, OPUS) to MP3 may lose a little detail, inaudible in speech. From WAV or FLAC to MP3 at 320 kbps the difference is minimal to the human ear.

What is the size limit?

Up to 300 MB per file and up to 3 hours long. There is no limit on the number of files, only a per-minute interval per connection.

Do I need an account or to pay?
