Frequently asked questions
Is Duplicati really free?
Yes, it is open source. You pay only for the storage. The web UI runs locally at http://localhost:8200 and manages all jobs.
What if I forget the encryption passphrase?
Without it the backup is unreadable by design — not even we can open it. Keep the passphrase in a company vault accessible to more than one person.
Duplicati, Kopia or Restic?
Duplicati wins on UI simplicity; Kopia and Restic on performance with millions of files. All three work on our storage: pick the one your team operates best.
How much does the storage cost?
Topázio (1 TB) at R$ 79.90/mo, Esmeralda (5 TB) at R$ 199.90/mo and Diamante (10 TB) at R$ 379.90/mo (billed in Brazilian reais). No lock-in: cancel or change plans anytime.
Are there traffic or request charges?
No. The price is flat for the contracted capacity. Uploads, downloads and requests never add charges — the first full copy and any restores do not change your invoice.
