QR code questions
Does the QR code generated here expire or need a subscription?
No. The code is static: the content (link, phone number, Wi-Fi password) is stored inside the image itself. It works forever, with no account, no paid plan and no dependency on Rollin Host staying online. It only stops working if the destination link goes away.
How do I make a WhatsApp QR code?
Pick the WhatsApp tab, enter the country code (1 for the US, 44 for the UK, 55 for Brazil), the number with area code and, optionally, a pre-filled message. The code opens the chat straight in the app with the message already typed. Use a number that is active on WhatsApp, personal or Business.
How do I make a Wi-Fi QR code?
Pick the Wi-Fi tab, type the network name exactly as it appears on your phone, the password and the security type (WPA covers WPA2 and WPA3, the standard on current routers). When scanned, the phone joins without typing anything. Print it and leave it at reception, the clinic or the restaurant.
What is the difference between PNG and SVG?
PNG is a pixel image, ready for social media, WhatsApp and documents. SVG is vector: it scales to a two-meter banner without losing sharpness and is the format print shops and designers prefer. When in doubt, download both.
Which error correction level should I choose?
Medium (15%) covers most uses. Go up to High or Highest if the code will be printed on material that can get dirty, folded or faded, such as stickers, menus and packaging. Higher levels make the code denser, so keep the content short.
Can I change the QR code colors?
Yes, but keep the contrast high: a dark QR on a light background is what every scanner recognizes. Colors that are too close, or a light QR on a dark background, fail on many phones. The tool warns you when contrast gets low.
Is my data stored anywhere?
No. Everything is computed in your browser: the content is not sent to any server, is not kept in a database and does not become a statistic. If you reload the page, the fields come back empty.
